I’m Not a
Restaurant Menu,
Deepinder 😤

Deepinder Goyal’s Temple wearable, the science behind its claims, and the human experience beyond its measurements.

Satirical cover: Mira wears a temple-style sensor and says, I’m Not a Restaurant Menu, Deepinder 😤. A conceptual magnified inset shows a miniature Deepinder Goyal caricature operating red and green optical emitters in the wearable, with a question mark about interpretation.
Satirical, AI-generated editorial illustration; all dialogue is invented. Mira wears a Temple-like sensor. The miniature Goyal and enlarged light paths are a conceptual metaphor, not an anatomical diagram or evidence that the device directly illuminates, reads or understands the brain.

A menu can tell Mira what is in her dinner. It cannot tell her what the dinner means. Eighteen years after putting restaurant menus online, Deepinder Goyal is helping turn signals from human tissue into information people can carry through a day. The scientific argument over Temple asks whether those signals measure what the company claims. A second question begins even if the first is answered: how much of a human being has become visible?

One fictional day carries this inquiry, from dinner before an important presentation to dinner the following evening. Mira’s readings, reflections and imagined interactions are illustrative. Product claims, research findings, mathematical demonstrations and protocol proposals are identified separately throughout.

Before Mira’s day begins

What is Temple, the wearable from Zomato founder Deepinder Goyal?

Temple is a skin-worn wellness device from Deepinder Goyal, the co-founder of Zomato. Worn near the temple, it uses optical sensing and reports derived wellness metrics. The company describes Entropy, Resting Entropy, Entropy Max and Span; their names and advertised meanings are company claims, whose measurement and interpretation require evidence. This illustrated inquiry follows one fictional day to examine the signals, the research and the experience behind them.[7]

Temple price, pre-orders and launch: the dated picture

As reviewed on , Temple’s site says pre-orders are open. November reporting gives a ₹85,000 price and a fourteen-day return window; its separate Temple 01 vision describes shipping in early 2027. These are dated descriptions, rather than a live offer or a hands-on review. Check the company’s current terms before relying on them.[2][7][9]
