Identity Is Evidence, Not Prestige

Identity evidence can support the review of six Wellbecoming components, but demographics, institutional prestige, platform reach, moral doctrine, and disclosure never directly alter the WellbeingScore.

Once Identity is allowed to inform a baseline, a dangerous temptation appears: convert everything into points. A degree from a famous institution becomes a Thought bonus. A large audience becomes Performance. Public disclosure becomes confidence. A declared moral system becomes Habit. The resulting score may look sophisticated while merely encoding social prestige.

Wellbeing Identity Genesis prohibits that move.

Given Identity can establish interpretation boundaries and relevant health context, but caste, nationality, sex, religion, genetics, or family background cannot directly raise or lower W. Earned Identity can supply evidence of sustained study, work, and contribution, but an institution’s status cannot produce a wellbeing bonus. Rented Identity can identify platform dependence and provenance, but followers and badges are not wellbeing. Skills can show capability, but capability is not identical to current condition.

Moral Compass can help a reviewer ask whether intention and behaviour appear aligned. It cannot declare one philosophy intrinsically superior. Story can reveal agency, rupture, coherence, and direction. An impressive story does not earn points. Identity State can preserve compatible history without allowing an old scalar score to enter the current baseline twice. Consent and Disclosure can permit or prohibit evidence use, but sharing more never improves the score and withholding optional private material never reduces it.

This is why Genesis uses an evidence projection rather than an IdentityScore. For each of the six components, the reviewer can record relevant Identity nodes, evidence references, evidence type and quality, current self-assessment, observed Value Log evidence, justified ranges, contradictions, and the final subject-confirmed value. The dossier makes the reasoning inspectable without pretending that every source has an automatic numerical weight.

The restraint is methodological and political. It protects participants from a system that rewards conformity to whatever institutions already possess prestige. It also protects the score from false precision. A certificate may support a claim about demonstrated learning; it cannot reveal whether someone is currently well. An audience may demonstrate reach; it cannot establish integrity, recovery, emotional condition, or meaningful performance.

Evidence can strengthen judgment. It must not smuggle hierarchy into arithmetic.
