The Feedback Loop: How Attention Updates Identity
How observation changes identity state, which in turn changes future attention.

The observer is not unchanged
The person attends to inner and outer signals. ~ValueCaptureProtocol binds selected information to time. ~WellbecomingProtocol names the attention. W updates inside ~WellbeingIdentity. The updated identity state then changes what the person can notice, interpret, and choose next.
Observer → selected signals → time-bound capture → Wellbecoming vocabulary → W update → updated identity → future attention.
Observer attention feeds back into the observer.
Developmental representation
External scoring systems often score people from the outside and trap them inside the representation. A developmental representation should let the person participate in observation, inspect the evidence, understand the vocabulary, revise errors, control disclosure, and improve the representation over time.
Representations do not merely describe behaviour. They shape it. A student becomes grade-conscious. A creator becomes engagement-conscious. A borrower becomes score-conscious. A worker becomes performance-review-conscious. The mirror starts giving instructions.
Observer Attention must therefore be designed carefully. If the system teaches a person to attend only to output, it will recreate the old economy. If it teaches a person to attend to physiology, emotion, feeling, thought, habit, performance, and commons contribution together, it can become a developmental mirror.
This does not remove institutional validation. It changes its scope. Evidence can be independently checked without turning one context-specific judgment into a permanent account of the person.
Implementation lens
The event stream is the truth layer; current slices, daily W, contribution summaries, and audit timelines are projections. A correction appends reversal and supersession events, then chronologically replays every affected W-dependent calculation.
