The representation must remain contestable

The problem is not that humans are scored. The problem is that humans are scored by systems that do not know who they are becoming.

Scores are coordination tools. They become harmful when they are opaque, narrow, coercive, extractive, over-authorized, or treated as total representations of a person. W is not intrinsic human worth. The framework must not support hidden ranking, diagnosis, coercive employment or eligibility decisions, coercive consent, opaque high-consequence use, automatic monetization of Non-Performance life, false precision, or a universal calibration claim.

VC = W × Vcom is not already validated. A serious research program must test construct validity, reliability, context dependence, cultural variation, observer effects, gaming, missing evidence, disagreement, correction, revocation, and downstream harm. A claim that cannot fail is not yet a research claim.

Version note

Version 0.5 connects the research scaffold to Value Log v1 without presenting the pilot as validation of the theory. It adds implementation evidence, calculator boundaries, correction replay, consented Pilot W publication, and a public edition ledger. Version 0.4 remains recorded as a superseded public edition.

Implementation lens

The pilot makes limitations operational: role separation is disclosed as non-independent, subjective inner truth is not externally “verified,” private narrative is not published, consent expires after 30 days, and revocation hides the public projection without rewriting private history.
