From Performance to Commons
How Learning, Earning, and OrgBuilding enter community validation, attestation, dispute, and shared memory.

A person facilitates a learning session. The observed record says when it happened, what was done, who participated, and what evidence exists. The Performance route says the moment may contain outwardly legible contribution.
Neither statement proves what the contribution meant to a commons.
~SAOcommons is the protocol layer where a community applies shared rules, validation authority, stewardship, and memory. It is not merely a group of people and it is not represented here as a courthouse. The validating counterparty is a field of members, policies, validators, evidence, and contestable decisions.
Three lanes
Performance may enter one or more canonical lanes:
~~Learningconcerns capability formed, shared, or evidenced.~~Earningconcerns governed economic participation and value realization.~~OrgBuildingconcerns standards, operating systems, governance, stewardship, and durable institution-building.
These are different value contexts. A teaching session may form capability without creating payment. A paid project may create economic value without changing a person's formal skill level. A governance contribution may strengthen shared infrastructure even when no market transaction occurs.
The community responds
A commons-relevant claim travels with proof, attribution, integrity context, and its ~~~~ProtocolLinkId. The community can validate, reject, request correction, attest, value, or dispute according to explicit authority.
An accepted result may return to ~~Skills, ~~EarnedIdentity, or ~~IdentityState. That return is different from the private human-state update described in the previous chapter. It expresses what a governed counterparty recognized, not what the person privately experienced.
Private return asks what the moment did to the human. Validated return records what the commons recognized about the contribution.
Evidence and limitation
Community validation can create legitimacy only within a defined scope. It does not convert a local decision into universal truth. Validator conflicts, appeals, revocation, institutional capture, and cultural variation remain governance problems rather than visual details to hide.
